Now that my back injury has healed to about 95%, I’m returning to a task I had started during the pandemic: the great de-cluttering!
At this point, I’ve donated bags of clothing and shoes and kept the basics. Now that I’m older, I’m focusing more on classic pieces instead of trends. I had a lot of fun with trendy styles in my younger years but happy now to adopt a more down to earth look.
Now it’s time to tackle books and papers. I have too many books and yes, you can have too many. I’ve started by pulling out and donating popular fiction books and now it’s time for a more thorough culling of the rest. Again, like clothes, I’ll keep what’s most meaningful and essential, then donate the rest. And I'm sticking with ebooks when I want to get something new.
I’m thankful my back is better, considering that back in July I could hardly get out of bed.
