For reasons, I am extremely happy about reaching this Friday. It was somehow a short yet long week. A Monday holiday can throw off the rhythm.
After a surprisingly cool holiday weekend, the heat has come back and with it, my headaches. This summer reminds me of 2014 and 2015, when every day was 90 – 100 F with a high pressure system for months. As much as I like the sun, that was a bit much.
I've made an effort to keep up my walks and hikes but it's been hot and my energy waned. Staying indoors gets boring though, and I have to find projects. Therefore, another round of cleaning and another bag for donations. Extra bonus in cleaning up? I found old restaurant gift cards with balances still on them. That’s worth a Homer Simpson woo hoo.
Decided on which writing and reading projects I’ll work on next. Those cooler autumn nights can’t arrive quickly enough.
