Dream Again
May. 6th, 2024 07:24 amI make an effort to remember and write down my dreams. I have dream notes going back some thirty-five years.
Dreams fascinate me because they run a parallel life in tandem with our waking one. They flicker and float in another dimension that I can see and hear in a language slightly alien. Jungian analysis notes that dreams well up from the unconscious during sleep; we don’t deliberately invent them.
No matter how much I analyze them, their meaning is always a bit out of reach. And that’s fine. I like that dreams seem to inhabit their own mysterious world.
