Spring is here of course, because of our temps. Hope the rest of the country that’s been under severe winter will soon see the sun and flowers again.

When people say why isn’t anyone doing anything, well, many, many people are doing and have been doing what they can for decades. Real activism is IRL. The people who do the most are not shouting about it on social media.

There are many of us, who behind the scenes, who for much of our lives, work in non-profit and education, volunteer across the fields of human need, help, care, love and we face a wall of indifference and apathy, states of being that have been engineered by those who derive their power by exploiting our fears and negative emotions.

During my youth in the post-Watergate era we got newspapers from the two big cities nearby. I remember the quality of that journalism and I remember that people once cared. There was a time when people conversed more rationally and not this straight-from-the amygdala screaming.

The key is overcoming indifference and apathy.
