Some thoughts about writing:
Writers….
.) Read a lot. Classics, contemporary, indies and fan fiction.
.) Write a lot. Draft after draft. Then another draft.
.) Talk with other writers. It’s an isolating activity. Good to know what’s buzzing in the community.
.) Take dedicated breaks from writing to do something else. There is a life outside writing and it’s important, too.
.) Take dedicated breaks from writing to review past work. See what kind of progress you’ve made and how to improve.
.) Make numbered lists. 😁
.) Determine their genre and what kind of audience or platform exist for that genre.
.) Keep going even if there are no immediate rewards. Writing is a marathon, not a sprint.
.) Keep perspective. We're mortal beings on a small planet in a giant galaxy doing the best we can in the short time span we have.
.) Keep writing.
