Speaking of the Halloween season, I remember watching these SCTV skits when we were growing up. Their satire was the best.
I knew John Candy as Dr. Tongue before I knew him as Uncle Buck.(And happy birthday in Candyβs memory, as he was born on October 31.)
3D was a thing for a while back then. I recall getting a pair of 3D glasses and then watching a movie on tv, I think it was about a gorilla? Gotta research that.
ETA: Yes, it was Gorilla at Large, a 1954 movie re-broadcast on tv in the 80s.
I think we got our glasses at the local gas station. I remember the hype for the movie, I remember we had dinner, I remember sitting in the family room, again in my favorite green chair, and putting on the glasses and⦠the only scene I remember is the gorilla swinging on a rope toward the camera.
Anyway, Iβm definitely in my nostalgia era.
