Working out a few thoughts about gatekeepers and the hyper individualism and hyper competitiveness that lead to gatekeeping behavior. These behaviors are the result of a fear and scarcity mindset.
The moment someone—especially someone who has been rejected or Othered—makes a move to improve their lives, out come the gatekeepers foaming at the mouth with rage.
I’ve seen this reaction over and over across the fields.
The truth is, life is full of opportunities and abundance. Nature is set up to provide for life not only to survive but to thrive.
But somewhere along the way, we allowed someone to convince us of the opposite.
And here we are: terrified and angry, and missing out on community, friendship, and the real happiness life can give…
…and not questioning how we got here and why we allow ourselves to continue this way.
