I’ve had all kinds of challenges in life. And I figure there are two ways of dealing with things:
- Cultivate a Zen attitude
- Work on changing the situation knowing that it will be difficult but worth it, and especially if you have people supporting you.
The first is the master class and lama-level, something to aspire to in older age.
But while you’re younger and energetic, give the second a try. I’m glad I did and by doing so, was able to make positive changes. And yes, it was hard. And yes, sometimes it took several tries.
In other times it was easier to work on a situation because there was more support. The current hyper individualism makes it harder to get by—and I think that’s by design, I think. Set people against each other so they won't help each other. Cui bono?
