Having seen this at work in my life, I agree. But his advice does not advocate passivity. It’s the work we put into growing up that will eventually solve the problem.
Acknowledge what’s wrong but step back for a while from the problem and instead put your energy into creating what’s healthy and helpful. Eventually the situation resolves itself.
You don’t stand over a flower and yell grow, damn you. You let it proceed through its stages.
