E=MC2 - April 4, 2008
All right, 2008 is great and I can kick it off with a new MC album!
Well… 2008 did not end up being a great year after all. No, it was the beginning of the Great Recession and a turbulent time in my own life.
However, I found consolation in E=MC2, a worthy follow up to Emancipation and chock filled with slinky, sophisticated sounds. I played this CD many, many times during a long commute.
Forever faves include “Migrate,” “Side Effects,” “I’m That Chick,” “O.O.C.,” “Bye Bye,” and “I Wish You Well.”
Love this album. Did not love living through this particular era, so that’s all I’m gonna say.
