Now reading another Laird Barron collection, this time Occultation.
His stories are devastating… ly good.
This collection introduces the Old Leech cycle and “Mysterium Tremendum” and “The Broadsword” will stay with me for a while.
What gets me about the Broadsword story is how it could be read as either a straightforward creepy horror story or as a slow burn worrisome portrait of dementia.
It takes time to read his stories and I appreciate that.
