Our visits to the valley usually include driving down to the Salton Sea.

Since I’ve taken many photos of the various sights of the Coachella Valley, this time around I focused on creating vintage-style and special edits to make dreamscapes. For example:

This time it was obvious this time how much the sea has evaporated and receded, leaving behind sections of muddy seabeds. After walking along the muddy shore for a bit, we walked back up and over to a picnic area.

Same effects as the first photo, with added vignette:

We also did some birdwatching, noted the stink of the dead fish, and looked at the little ecosystems left by the receding water. I could observe the nature there forever but we had to leave earlier than planned because the heat was building up.

A beautiful, wild place.
