Last night I finished reading Hekate, a novel in poetry by Nikita Gill. Enjoyed this book, 4.5 stars. An immersive read and like the conclusions at the end.
Greek mythology is always good, of course, and I like the spin Gill placed on the myths of Hekate: a young goddess finds herself in a miserable, uncertain world, doesn’t know what her skills and roles are supposed to be, and has to go through hardship to find her way. That’s a premise at once classic and very relevant to today’s world.
Next up: Perfume and Pain by Anna Dorn.
