Of historical note:
--Today is Juneteenth, a federal holiday for the first time this year
--This week also marks the 50th anniversary of Watergate which was *the* political scandal when I was growing up. The work of Woodward and Bernstein inspired me as a young person to take an interest in politics and reporting. Rick Perlstein’s book Nixonland is a good overview and analysis of the era.
Of personal note:
--Finished a writing project yesterday, taking a break before starting the next one. Today is for catching up and self-care.
--Had some intense dreams during the early morning part of sleeping. Not fun but I think good in psychological terms as an attempt at healing and integration.
--Went to Whole Foods for lunch and treated myself to a chicken and goat cheese salad and a raspberry sandwich cookie. Noice!
--Ms. Queen Kitty has been cranky lately and we’re trying to figure out what it is. Might be the humidity. Makes me cranky too. The most humidity I’ve ever experienced was Ontario in August and that was one wilty experience.
